******Guest Artist, Alumni: Danielle Davidson*********
Danielle Davidson began her dance training at age 11 with Sharron Fleet in Angus, Ontario. She followed Sharron to Collingwood in 1994 becoming a pioneer student of Fleet-Wood Dancentre. At age 15, she left home to attend the world-renowned Ecole Superieure de Ballet Contemporain. She graduated with Honours in 1998. She was awarded “1er prix du jury," in the classical ballet category and a $1000 scholarship from the “Festival Internationale de Danse Encore” competition, for her variation of ‘Esmeralda’ (Notre Dame de Paris) by Roland Petit (coached by Dominique Kalfouni). She joined Le Jeune Ballet du Québec and toured extensively throughout Europe and North America for the following three years. The summer of 2001 was spent dancing as a soloist in The Banff Festival for the Arts’ Production of “Celebrating Balanchine”. In 2002 she joined the Canadian Actors Equity and danced with Opera Ontario in Hamilton. In 2003 she moved to Toronto and studied acting at George Brown College, all while performing with REAson d’Etre Dance Inc. and ArtWord Theatre. In addition to performing, Danielle taught and choreographed for numerous competitive schools in the greater Toronto region. In 2006 she joined Ballet Espressivo, a neo-classical company and is currently teaching, dancing and choreographing for Le Regroupement Québecois de la Danse, in Montréal. She has performed in The Nutcracker with both Ballet-West and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens every year since 1997. This will be her first time dancing for Fleet-Wood’s’ Nutcracker and she is thrilled to be a part of this fabulous production



************Guest Artist, Alumni: Shannon Roberts**************
Miss Roberts graduated from Fleet-Wood Dancentre in 2004 and became the first Fleet-Wood student accepted by audition to Ryerson University's Dance Program. Her artistic background includes extensive training as a competitive figure skater and flying trapeze artist. Shannon is currently completing her third year at Ryerson University for Theatre Performance Dance working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She trains daily in Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Improvization, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Acting. Shannon also attends academic classes. Miss Roberts recently just performed at Ryerson for the programs Annual Dances where she was chosen by professional choreographer Louis Laberge Cote to perform in his piece "Axis Mundi". Shannon completed the Cecchetti Ballet Intermediate Exam while attending classes at Fleet-Wood, and also holds the Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Exam. She has been a favourite Guest Teacher each year at Fleet-Wood choreographing pieces for the yearly Recital. Miss Roberts is delighted to be joining the Fleet-Wood Dancers in their seventh Nutcracker performance.
