Collingwood’s First Dance Studio and School of Dance is Fleet-Wood Dancentre. Founded in 1994 they have been providing dance classes for thousands of children in The Georgian Triangle. Ballet tap jazz modern contemporary hip hop and tap are the main dance forms. Fleet-Wood specializes in the Cecchetti Method of Ballet and received the Inaugural Arts and Culture Award for training students to enter dance at the University and College Levels.
Collingwood’s Premiere School of Dance is known for it’s bi-yearly production of The Nutcracker staged at Meaford Hall and yearly Mini-Nutcracker performances in the windows of Historic Downtown Collingwood and Creative Simcoe Street.
